Melissa Laws, LAc.
Melissa has been in the health and wellness field for over 15 years in a plethora of roles. This road ultimately lead to acupuncture and Chinese medicine. She attended the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon earning a Master's of Science in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
Melissa graduated with honors and immediately after graduation did a residency in Nepal. She provided rural primary care and acupuncture to the community of Bajrabarahi. She treated hundreds of patients during her time in Nepal and uses this amazing experience everyday in her practice. She specializes in treating pain of all kinds, injuries, women's health and pediatrics.
Melissa is passionate about natural medicine and loves to connect with her patients, making them smile, laugh and helping them heal.
Meet Melissa
Here is Melissa treating patients in the rural clinic in Nepal. Even with the language barrier and an interpreter, Melissa is always trying to make her patients smile, build trust and promote healing.
When Melissa isn't treating patients she loves to be outdoors with her pup, Midas, and her husband. She is passionate about hiking, backpacking, paddle boarding, camping and traveling. She considers herself an amateur chef and loves to spend time in the kitchen coming up with healthy, delicious recipes.
